Sakito then wore his badge over one of his eyes because of his guilt for not protecting Riko. About a few years after the attack on the mansion, the Timeless One had relocated farther from the Rain Village, into a secret place in the woods. Sakito joined Riko in the job of recruiting new members, with only one actual success, a mysterious, wandering, homeless teen named Ichiro. Riko hypnotized Ichiro with his new eye(that could hypnotize people, but only 2 times) and made him believe he wanted join the Timeless Ones. Once back at the mansion however, the hypnotism wore off, and though Riko and Sakito didn't truly know it until later. Ichiro stayed with the organization, since they desired to destroy the Akatsuki, whom they rivaled, and Ichiro hated the Akatsuki, and wanted revenge on them. Sakito often feared and distrusted Ichiro(once thinking he was gay), but eventually came to accept him. Sakito is soon thrust into fighting and action he is not accustomed to, and must use his skills to battle. The first battle to come is with an Akatsuki operative, sent to destroy the Timeless Ones. The three boys, acting as a team and barrier, encounter the Akatsuki assailant in the woods, ordered to kill him before the member reaches their home. But the operative is highly skilled, and worse, a former ninja from the Rain Village, and has a great advantage over them. Using water clones, the Akatsuki man keeps them in the dark where his real body is while he's free to attack them. Sakito unleashes his powers for the first time, and desperately tries to fight the man, but it’s not until the member badly hurts Riko that Sakito becomes angry enough to unlock his true powers. He is able to track down and wound the member, but the man vanishes. Sakito takes this chance to check on Riko and Ichiro, forgetting to keep track of the assailant. He pays dearly for it, for when he approaches his friends, the Akatsuki man shoots up from the ground behind him and stabs him brutally in the heart, and Sakito dies...
